High Intensity Laser Therapy

CureWave Laser 2

High-Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT) doesn’t just disguise your symptoms; it treats the source of the problem. Unlike injections and prescriptions that just mask the symptoms and do nothing to treat the injury, our high intensity laser therapy regenerates soft tissue and damaged cells to heal at the cellular level. These benefits offer significant improvements in well-being for numerous conditions in patients of all ages.

The major effects of the CureWave Laser system include:

How long does the laser treatment last?
Depending on the condition, treatment times for this drug-free, non-invasive procedure will last between 5-30 minutes per session. The time is based on the size of area, depth of penetration needed and condition being treated.

How many treatments will I need?

Laser therapy produces results quickly, with improvement often within the few treatments. For many acute conditions 6 – 12 treatments are needed. Chronic conditions take longer and might require 12 – 24 treatments. While these are the averages, each person is unique and healing time varies by person and condition. For those with lifelong conditions your doctor may recommend periodic follow-up treatments.

Is High Intensity Laser Therapy Safe?

Laser therapy is safe for people of ages including children and those with metal implants. It has been in use for over thirty years around the world with almost no reported side effects. Occasionally some injuries or pain syndromes may feel aggravated for a few days, as the healing response becomes more active after a treatment. We do not recommend laser treatments if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy.

Are there any safety precautions required?

Because the human eyes absorb light, specially designed protective safety eye-wear is required and is provided for both the person administering the laser treatment and the patient to wear during the laser therapy treatment.

What conditions can the CureWave Laser treat?
